كشف اولين تصاوير متحرك (انيميشن) جهان در شهر سوخته:
اولين تصاوير انيميشن جهان بر روي جامي سفالين متعلق به 5000 سال پيش در شهر سوخته در استان سيستان و بلوچستان واقع در جنوب شرقي ايران كشف شد. در اين تصوير كه به عنوان اولين تصوير انيميشن جهان شناسايي شده است، طراح بزي را در حال حركت و پرش به سمت درختي براي جويدن برگهايش به تصوير كشيده است.
بر روي قطعات سفالين يافت شده در شهر سوخته كه با بيش از 50 سال قدمت از تمدنهاي كهن تاريخ جهان به شمار ميآيد، تصاوير زيادي از بز و ماهي يافت ميشود كه اين امر بيانگر بهرهبرداري ساكنان آن شهر از اين حيوانات بيش از ديگر جانوران است.
در تصاوير طراحي شده بر روي اين جام با ارتفاع 10 و عرض 8 سانتي متر ، وجود حركت به ظرافت به تصوير كشيده شده كه پيش از آن بيسابقه بوده است. بر روي بعضي از سفالينههاي اين شهر تصاوير مكرري ديده ميشود ليكن هيچكدام بيانگر حركت در تصاوير نبودهاند.
باستانشناس ايراني، مسئول عمليات حفاري شهر سوخته، اذعان مي دارد:"ضمن حفاري مدفن اين جام سفالين، به اسكلتي رسيديم كه گمان ميرود متعلق به خالق اين اثر هنري باشد"

:First Animation of the World Found In Burnt City
An animated piece on an earthen goblet that belongs to 5000 years ago was found in Burnt City in Sistan-Baluchistan province, southeastern Iran.
On this ancient piece that can be called the first animation of the world, the artist has portrayed a goat that jumps toward a tree and eats its leaves.
The earthenware found in Burnt City, one of the most developed civilizations dating back to 5000 years ago, show the images of goat and fish more than any other subject. It seems these animals were used more than any other by the people of this city.
On this goblet, with a diameter of 8 cm and height of 10 cm, the images show movement in an intricate way that is an unprecedented discovery. Some earthenware found in Burnt City show repetitive images, but none of them implicate any movements.
“While excavating the grave in which the cream-colored goblet has been found, we came across a skeleton that probably belongs to the creator of this piece”, the Iranian archeologist responsible for excavations in Burnt City told.
